Business Development Specialist

This is a key position within our sales organisation, providing both existing and potential customers with productive and innovative solutions that represent longer term sustainable value for their business bottom line.


About the Role

You will assume responsibility for leading our efforts with a defined group of mining and civil customers located across Western Australia. The role will act as the primary customer contact, owning the customer relationship, while providing a conduit between our other invested business disciplines and our customer's operating sites and corporate business teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will need to possess several attributes, including:

* A listener first and a sales professional second
* A resilient, self-motivated solutions finder
* Highly developed communication skills and emotional intelligence
* An understanding of how to balance customer advocacy with favourable commercial outcomes
* Strong collaboration skills and the ability to find common ground with people approaching projects from differing perspectives
* The ability to make decisions within set parameters, and the confidence to deliver information to various levels within our organisation
* A background in and an understanding of business development, account management or general sales
* A technical aptitude- you don't need to be an expert regarding machinery as you will be supported in that space, but a solid understanding of technical considerations is important
* Willingness to undertake extensive travel
