Role & Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient warehouse and logistics operations. Your tasks will include:
* General warehousing, including inventory management
* Picking and packing customer orders accurately
* Loading and unloading trucks safely using forklifts and other equipment
* Operating machinery such as overhead cranes and processing equipment
* Coordinating day-to-day logistics for deliveries and collections
* Managing customer collections and optimising delivery routes
* Ensuring compliance with vehicle load regulations and standards
* Collaborating with the branch manager, trading team, and operations department
* Providing prompt responses to enquiries and resolving issues

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who have:
* Experience operating forklifts (essential)
* Computer literacy (essential)
* Experience using SAP systems (highly regarded)
* Overhead crane ticket and experience (highly regarded)
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
