If you like the idea of supporting your community in a very practical way, we would love your help with our Garden Tool Library
Specific Tasks and Duties:
Manage bookings and hire agreements with community members hiring tools
Follow the tool hire process with community members, including the required paperwork, checking identification, writing receipts and demonstrating how the tools work
Facilitate a positive, kind, and supportive experience for the hirers and fellow volunteers: experience working with basic garden tools is desirable but not compulsory
What you bring to the role:
An enthusiastic and empathetic approach to the work
The ability to relate with sensitivity to a wide range of people
Some understanding of the impact of loneliness, isolation, and mental health struggles
The ability to work alone and as part of a team
The ability to maintain confidentiality according to MarionLIFE policies
Strong interpersonal skills
A keen sense of humour, and ability to respect values that may differ from your own
Your most punctual, reliable, flexible self
Other Requirements:
A current DHS Working with Children Check.
