Your impact Jacobs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Associate Water Consultantto join our fast-growing Water Infrastructure team in the ANZ region. You will play a crucial part in planning, design, project delivery, design management, and project management, while also assisting in positioning and winning projects across a range of services. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team of water professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for both public and private sector clients both locally and nationally. We have a diverse base of water clients across the region and this role will contribute to setting and implementing strategy and capability for this client base, with support from our global technical leads. Responsibilities: The Senior Associate Water Consultantis responsible for providing consultancy, engineering services, technical input and direction in design in the ANZ region. The role will include taking a lead role with design, project delivery and winning work and for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects. You will support management of the Water Infrastructure Western Team, in terms of team development and growth, building technical capability and growing the water infrastructure portfolio. You will be required to interface with GID delivery centres in order to improve delivery capability meet targets. You will keep abreast of new methods, technologies and developments impacting Jacobs in order to recommend change to current or new direction by tracking and contributing to industry developments, thus ensuring Jacobs is applying the latest technical developments. You will help drive business development and be responsible for work winning, identify the next strategic opportunities and support the winning of those opportunities. Through regular industry participation, you will develop and maintain strong key client relationships, identify emerging opportunities with clients and act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients, representing the Water Infrastructure team at key thought leadership events. You will help maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process. You will facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements and engage with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching. Here's what you'll need As a Senior Associate Water Consultant you will be responsible for all elements of consulting services within your areas, this includes building and developing relationships with key members of focus client organisations, contributing to and leading sales activities including proactive sales activities and tenders, leading projects as project manager, and contributing to the development of junior staff in our section. The role will be highly client facing and you will be expected to use your initiative to identify opportunities and develop and then execute strategies to pursue these considering client needs, alignment to Jacobs strategy, and commercial interests. Promote safety and sustainability culture within the organisation and with our clients Deliver technically excellent designs and consultancy services. Extensive knowledge and breadth of water services engineering and design. Develop design management functions on projects. Extensive understanding of safety in design and its application. Extensive understanding of the multidisciplinary interfaces in the design development of water assets. Extensive understanding of technical standards for design, construction and maintenance Extensive working knowledge of the local environment, relevant industry, particularly working within the Western Australian Water Sector Extensive negotiation skills with respect to technical matters. Assist in driving business development and winning work. Identify and support the pursuit of future opportunities. Maintain compliance with Jacobs' QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process. Facilitate the technical development of junior resources. Engage with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching. Promote an inclusive and safety culture within the organisation and with our clients. Your Expertise:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.Strong experience in water and wastewater civil engineering, with the ability to work with and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines, including those with some members located throughout Australia or internationally.Strong experience in the Water industry and consultancy environment.Extensive knowledge of safety in design and relevant industry codes and standards relevant to the Australian water industry.Demonstrated experience on multi-disciplinary projects,including participation in and facilitation of standard design meetings and workshops (progress design meetings, safety in design meetings and workshops etc).Ability to drive team excellence and delivery of quality solutions that meet client expectations.Technical specialist within cross-disciplinary knowledge and application.Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in their own technical development.Able to foster strong cross-disciplinary relationships within Jacobs and our partners.Experience with managing internal processes, including periodic reporting on project progress, financials and quality systems.
