An exciting opportunity has become available due to recent growth to join our logistics team in the position of Logistics Officer.
This position is part of the team responsible for the scheduling, planning and coordination of contracted and chartered bus operations.
This role is for 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
With an initial start as a casual it will move to a full-time role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Depot roll in and outs every day to ensure vehicles are departing safely and on time
Monitor driver presentation and uniforms
Track fleet movements
Use of radio communications
Assist with location coordination for large movements like full school inter athletics carnivals etc
Schedule of day to day fleet movements
Additional tasks as required
Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge in the administration and implementation of fatigue management strategies are preferred but not essential
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to work as a team member
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task
A demonstrated commitment to providing a high quality and standard of customer care
Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not essential
This is a fast paced and high intensity environment, previous experience within the bus industry would be highly regarded, but not essential for this position.
Ability to adapt to change
Intermediate or advanced MS Office proficiency
