About the role
We are currently seeking a Construction Manager for our Rail Operations hub in Sydney.
Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O’Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across New South Wales.
Key responsibilities
1. Directly oversee construction activities on the project.
2. Manage the stage gate process from the planning to the delivery stage
3. Lead the technical interface of the works from to ensure the design requirements are met to the RIM specification
4. Manage and lead the delivery engineering stream to ensure a successful delivery of all projects
5. Ensure that the project construction team adopts and continually implements disciplines and procedures.
6. Ensure construction processes are controlled and adheres to strict safety, quality, programme and financial guidelines.
About you
7. Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management.
8. Significant experience in a rail project delivery environment and exposure managing teams for delivery phase of construction.
9. Understanding of design, problem-solving capabilities, commercial acumen.
10. Ability to communicate on all levels
