GCP AI Architect - Hybrid 3 days pw in office - 6 Month Contract

I am exclusively partnered with a leading consultancy who are looking for a GCP AI Architect to start immediately on a 6 month contract.
You will be guiding AI enablement and architecting the solution of a greenfield implementation of Google Enterprise Agentic Platform (Previously known as Vertex) enabling the business to use Gen AI, Agentic AI, RAG/ NLP.
Looking for someone to start immediately, interviews will be one stage and begin next week with the end client.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Architect end‑to‑end AI and ML solutions using Google ADK, Agent Studio, Agent Garden.
- Design scalable, secure, and cost‑optimised architectures leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow.
- Lead the development of Generative AI and LLM‑based applications using Gemini Agentic Platform, Agent Garden models, and custom model fine‑tuning.
- Establish and implement MLOps frameworks using Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and CI/CD best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, governance, and architectural guidance across multiple AI initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GCP security, IAM, data governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Evaluate emerging GCP AI capabilities and drive innovation across the organisation.
What You Bring:
- 5 years experience as a Cloud Architect, AI/ML Architect, or Senior ML Engineer specialising in Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep expertise with Vertex AI, including training, tuning, deploying, and monitoring ML models.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
- Hands‑on experience with BigQuery ML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
- Solid knowledge of GCP networking, IAM, VPC design, and cloud security best practices.
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and serverless compute (Cloud Run).
