About the role
Gillingham Constructions is looking for a reliable and hardworking labourer to assist with the construction of sheds, concreting and other projects across the Darling Downs - travel away for short periods may be required at times.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting skilled tradespeople with construction tasks such as shed building, renovations, concreting and more.
* Operating basic tools and equipment safely and effectively
* Performing general site maintenance and cleaning duties
* Following all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
* Working closely with the team to ensure project deadlines are met
What we're looking for
* A positive, hardworking attitude and willingness to learn
* Some previous experience in shed construction (desirable but not essential)
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Own tools (desirable but not essential)
* Construction White Card
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience.
