Art Curator Job Description
The Role:
As Art Curator, you will lead engaging art tours for guests, sharing the stories behind our collection and the artists who created them. You will coordinate exhibitions and events that showcase local talent, manage art sales and shipping, and work closely with artists and guests to ensure a seamless experience.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate exhibitions and events to showcase Tasmanian talent
* Curate and open new exhibitions every 5-6 weeks in the Packing Room Gallery
* Act as a key point of guest connection in our Artist in Residence program
* Inviting local artists to create work in the foyer and engage with guests about their concepts and practice
Requirements:
The physical capability and confidence to work at heights, including climbing ladders and safely hanging or moving artworks is required.
