The Role:
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the objective of this position is to deliver comprehensive support for IT systems, software and hardware to all staff members, thereby facilitating uninterrupted operations. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in the upkeep and improvement of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, maintain, and manage IT infrastructure, including network implementation and telecommunication systems.
Provide efficient assistance to internal users regarding daily support matters, including personal computing assistance and software implementation and support.
Accountability for the administration of Windows systems and manage data centre operations, as well as Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Migrate, integrate, configure, and manage Windows Server infrastructure (Domain, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, Database, Antivirus Server & Clients, Files Server, Print Server, Backup Server).
Install, configure, and manage VMware infrastructure and VMware on AWS, Firewall, and SAN Storage.
Manage AD/Entra ID, backups, log checking, and technical resolution.
Maintain and configure Cloudflare Zero Trust.
Maintain network operations with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco Meraki, Velo Edge, HP, Palo).
Required Key Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in a large-sized company.
Focused, driven, and motivated with a forward-thinking mindset and a passion for innovation and technology.
Degree qualification in IT/related discipline.
Advanced skills and experience working with servers and operating systems utilising on-prem/cloud-based services.
Excellent data centre security, firewall, storage, and server management skills.
Implement new technology to address business objectives.
Experience in managing DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Office 365, MS Defender, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
Excellent knowledge of managing Azure/AWS infrastructures, VNet, NSG, VWAN, Azure Firewall, Azure Virtual Desktop, EC2, S3, AWS/Azure VPN, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, etc.
Knowledge of networking, including routing, switching, wireless access, and SD-WAN technologies.
Experience managing backups and disaster recovery products like Veeam, VMware live recovery.
