Accountant – 12-month Maternity Leaver Cover
Contract: 12-month maternity leave cover with LHH. Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
About the Role
The primary responsibility of the Accountant is to record accurate transactions in the accounting systems and assist in the month-end processes. You will provide reporting and other support to stakeholders as needed, gaining a broad overview of our business processes across different areas of financial accounting, including forecasting, budgeting and local and global end-to-end processes.

Reports to Financial Controller, Australia and New Zealand

Key Responsibilities
Embrace teamwork within own department and across the business
Develop and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the LHH business to support the achievement of company objectives
Live and promote LHH values and mindsets
Comply with the organization's certified Management Systems including Quality, Information Security and Health & Safety
Financials / Accounting, Reporting and Analysis
Month-end P&L, Balance Sheet reporting and analysis
Prepare accurate sales reporting
Other ad-hoc duties to support the finance team and broader business
Financial accountabilities measured by reliability, accuracy and timeliness of reporting

Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree
Advanced Excel skills, proficient in Word and PowerPoint
Experience in MSD or similar accounting system preferred but not required
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Skills and Attributes
Ability to interact with multiple financial systems across the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to build strong relationships
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a fast-changing environment
Ability to communicate financial ideas to non-financial colleagues
Sound knowledge of organisational accounting procedures
