About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to be the anchor of our daily activities.

This is a role for a leader who prefers steel-capped boots to a stiff suit. You will move beyond simple administration to become the tactical commander of our field teams. You will oversee the entire operational lifecycle: from rostering and fleet management to client liaison and quality assurance. You will be responsible for ensuring that our projects run on time, our safety standards (WHS) are unimpeachable, and our profitability targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of field staff and supervisors. Handle recruitment, performance reviews, and daily rostering.
* WHS Compliance: Champion a \"Safety First\" culture. Ensure strict adherence to Queensland Work Health and Safety laws, conduct site audits, and manage SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements).
* Operational Efficiency: Analyze current workflows to identify bottlenecks. Implement strategies to reduce waste, improve response times, and increase margins.
* Client Relations: Act as the escalation point for key clients. Solve problems proactively before they impact the relationship.
* Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and utilization of our fleet, equipment, and depot facilities.

What We Are Looking For:

* Experience: 5+ years in Operations Management, Logistics, or Field Services, preferably within the Queensland market.
* Leadership Style: You lead from the front. You are approachable but firm, and you know how to get the best out of a blue-collar workforce.
* Regulatory Knowledge: You have a solid grasp of Australian WHS legislation and Industrial Relations (Awards/Enterprise Agreements).
* Financial Acumen: You can manage a P&L. You understand the difference between revenue and profit, and you know how to control labour costs.
* Tech Savvy: Comfortable with job management software (e.g., Simpro, AroFlo) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
