About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of annual scientific meetings for affiliated associations. This includes providing high-level input into the College's Annual Scientific Congress (ASC). Your primary objective will be to lead and coordinate the delivery of high-profile events, ensuring all operational elements are met within strict timelines and budgets.
The position involves overseeing onsite delivery during key events, including supervision of staff and volunteers to ensure seamless execution and high standards of performance. You will also provide expert advice and support to colleagues in the operational process for ASC, including registrations, invoices, and billing, reporting, query resolution, and onsite registration management.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will provide technical advice to senior stakeholders and develop virtual platforms. You will also identify and engage sponsors/exhibitors and monitor sponsorship deliverables to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Key to your success will be providing strategic recommendations by producing comprehensive reports and analyses for quality control and continuous improvement of event activities. This will involve extensive experience in strategising, planning, and executing conferences and events of varying scales.
We are looking for someone with high-level competence in event-related software, such as EventsAir. Advanced computer skills, including webpage editing and virtual platform development, are essential. Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities in a pressured and challenging environment is also required.
A strong candidate will have experience training and mentoring junior team members.
