Full-Time, Permanent
What's the Brief?
Our client is on a journey to uplift how People & Culture operates across the business - moving away from siloed, manual ways of working toward a more connected, best-practice approach.
This HR Business Partner role sits at the heart of that shift.
Supporting a portfolio across home support and housing tenancy services, you'll partner closely with leaders to navigate day‐to‐day people matters, build capability, and bring a more thoughtful, consistent approach to ER, recruitment, and workforce decisions.
It's a hands‐on environment - processes are still evolving, systems are largely manual, and there's plenty of opportunity to improve how things are done. Alongside BAU, you'll play a role in process mapping, uplift initiatives, and setting the business up for future system implementation.
If you enjoy working in environments where you can genuinely influence, build, and improve - rather than just maintain - this role offers exactly that.
Is This Your Perfect Match?
You're an emerging or mid‐level BP who enjoys being close to the action.
You've already stepped into a partnering role and know how to build relationships with leaders, coach through people challenges, and navigate ER matters with sound judgement.
You don't need everything to be polished or perfectly set up. In fact, you're at your best in environments where you can roll up your sleeves, work through ambiguity, and help create better ways of working.
You're confident without needing to have all the answers. You listen well, ask thoughtful questions, and aren't afraid to say "let me come back to you" when needed. At the same time, you're comfortable holding your ground and not being swayed by pressure from stakeholders.
Most importantly, you're motivated by purpose and want to be part of a team that is building something better - together.
Your Impact
In this role, you'll support a diverse workforce while helping lift capability, consistency, and process across the function. Your day‐to‐day is likely to include:
* Partnering with leaders to manage employee relations matters, including interpreting agreements, advising on process, and supporting investigations
* Coaching leaders with varied capability, helping them build confidence in managing their teams
* Supporting recruitment activity alongside advisors, providing oversight and guidance on hiring decisions and approach
* Reviewing and sense‐checking information to ensure consistent and compliant outcomes
* Building strong, trusted relationships across your portfolio through regular on‐site engagement
* Contributing to process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives as the function evolves
* Supporting a more integrated way of working across P&C, Safety, and OD teams
* Helping the business transition toward more efficient, best‐practice ways of operating
Your Toolkit
* Experience operating as an HR Business Partner (or stepping up from a senior Advisor role)
* Strong stakeholder management and coaching capability
* Solid grounding in employee relations, with the ability to interpret agreements and apply policy
* Confidence working in environments that are less structured or still maturing
* Ability to problem‐solve, ask the right questions, and take a thoughtful, considered approach
* Experience working across different industries or environments (preferred)
* A collaborative mindset – someone who works with the team, not in silos
* A genuine interest in continuous improvement and building better ways of working
