# Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
* Lead and manage the tender / bid process
* Lead the preparation and submission of tenders working in consultation with the team's project manager and design managers
* Estimate project quantities and costs in the preparation of major tenders on a timely and cost-effective basis
* Develop scopes of works for subcontractors and complete detailed trade price reviews
* Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques, and cost trends
* Respond to post tender clarifications
* Supervise and develop support staff, such as junior estimators and cadets
* Provide technical inputs at a project level to assist project teams in submission and assessment of variations
* Supply project teams with clear, concise documentation and BOQ's at contract commencement. Assist in allocating the Bill of Quantities for costing purposes
* Assist project teams in the financial administration of contractors
# Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in the respective field for this role
* 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Professional written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques, and industry standards
* Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
* Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
* A down to earth, fun, friendly and professional approach to your work
