We are currently looking for experienced Casual Traffic Controllers to join us, working on a current project located in Hornsby. The ideal candidate will have a valid White Card, Traffic Control Tickets and proven experience in traffic control operations.
What you will be doing:
* Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
* Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic
* Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans
* Complete vehicle pre-start check starts
* Load and unload vehicles with equipment and signage
* Complete size hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
* Report on site hazards and near misses
* Monitor traffic behaviour and flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times
* Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to prevent maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public
What we’re looking for:
* Traffic Controller (Blue) Card
* Implement Traffic Control Plans (Yellow) Card
* White Card
* Drivers licence and own transport
* Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time
* As this is a local government position, all applicants must have received a minimum double vaccination for Covid-10 with evidence to be considered
