The Opportunity
We're seeking a motivated Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis across the business. Working closely with the CFO and operational leaders, this role provides valuable financial insight to support decision making across operations, capital projects and future planning.
This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to build strong commercial and analytical capability in a port environment.
Key responsibilities
* Support delivery of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including analysis and variance commentary.
* Prepare and assist with monthly performance reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow).
* Analyse revenue, cost and performance trends to identify key drivers, risks and opportunities.
* Assist with short term and long term cash flow forecasting and treasury reporting.
* Maintain and enhance financial models, dashboards and reports (including Power BI).
* Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting, forecasting and finance processes.
* Support audit activities and comply with governance, accounting standards and internal controls.
About you
You're analytically minded, curious and detail oriented, with a genuine interest in understanding how the business operates. You enjoy turning data into clear insights and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
You'll bring:
* A degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
* 1–2 years' experience (or graduate exposure) in corporate finance, accounting or analytical roles.
* Strong Excel skills and an interest in financial modelling and data analysis.
* Experience or interest in dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
* A developing understanding of financial statements and cash flow drivers.
* High attention to detail, accuracy and a willingness to learn.
