AHH Lifeskills is a fast-growing, values-driven NDIS-registered provider offering Supported Independent Living (SIL), Day Options, Respite, Mentoring and innovative community programs. We are looking for an organised, proactive, and people-focused Rostering Officer to join our Operations Team, focusing on maintaining the 24-/7 rosters for 8 (and growing) SIL houses.
This is a key role supporting participants, support workers, and Team Leaders by ensuring our daily rosters are efficient, compliant, and responsive to individual needs.
About the Role
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and maintain staff rosters for NDIS participants across our SIL and community programs. Working closely with the Operations Manager and SIL Team Leaders, you will ensure rosters meet participant needs, promote independence, and support high-quality service delivery.
You will also maintain accurate compliance records, monitor staff training, and complete administrative tasks that contribute to smooth day-to-day operations.
This role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident communicating with a diverse range of staff.
This is a new position and will begin at the start of January 2026 as part-time at approximately 30 hours per week, with the likelihood to increase to full-time hours within the first 3-6 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and maintain up-to-date rosters for all participants in SIL houses, including some assistance in rostering for other program areas as needed.
* Liaise with SIL Team Leaders and the Operations Manager via phone, email and in-person to allocate staff appropriately.
* Ensure rostering practices comply with Fair Work legislation and the SCHADS Award.
* Assist with approvals for leave and timesheet variations prior to payroll.
* Organise suitable replacement staff when workers are unavailable for shifts.
* Ensure staff have accurate shift information and participant details to perform their duties safely and confidently.
* Maintain strong understanding of relevant legislation, NDIS requirements, and internal policies.
* Keep the Operations Manager and HR Manager informed of any staffing gaps or recruitment needs.
* Ensure new staff receive buddy shifts and required training as part of the onboarding process.
* Uphold professional written and verbal communication standards.
* Participate in the on-call roster as part of the small team responsible for managing after-hours enquiries (with remuneration for on-call hours).
