**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimise value and align with business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic procurement advice.
- Oversee contract management activities, ensuring compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and benchmarking against industry standards.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to governance, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.***
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in procurement and category management, ideally within energy, utilities, mining, or construction sectors.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
- Experience in managing high-value contracts and driving supplier performance.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business functions.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable, along with relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS).
