DS Session Leader - Pop Ups

Join to apply for the DS Session Leader - Pop Ups role at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.

* Permanent Full‑Time opportunity – 76.00 hours per fortnight
* Varied shifts across a rotating roster – Monday to Sunday
* Located at various pop‑up donor centre locations across Melbourne's North West
* Salary starting from $47+ per hour + penalties, super, salary packaging and more


About the role

We're currently seeking a Session Leader to join our team at the Melbourne Pop Up Donor Centres. Reporting to the Donor Centre Manager, you'll provide operational oversight to ensure the end‑to‑end donation experience runs efficiently with no compromise on quality or safety.

As a Session Leader, you'll provide direction, inspiration and support for your team to achieve common goals, foster team effectiveness, and manage tough issues with respect. You'll value self‑awareness and reflect on your own strengths and areas for development, making you an even stronger leader.


Responsibilities

* Deliver a supportive and safe experience to our amazing donors
* Develop and coach teams
* Physically insert and remove needles to collect donations
* Act as the first point of contact for any complex donor assessments
* Provide clinical oversight to team to ensure phlebotomy success
* Show pride in upholding our high safety and quality standards


Qualifications

* Leadership experience with the ability to coach and provide performance feedback
* Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build a warm connection with donors
* Collaborative nature with a strong sense of teamwork
* Digital and technical aptitude
* Clinical experience (Preferred)
* Have a valid driver's licence and access to an own vehicle


Travel

Ability to travel to pop‑up sites such as: Eltham, Williamstown, Preston, Sunbury, Craigieburn, Sunshine, Melton, Tarneit, and Moonee Ponds.
