About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen at HillView Ashmore.
This hands-on leadership role combines culinary skill, creativity, and care to deliver nutritious, delicious, and beautifully presented meals that residents look forward to every day – while ensuring operations meet Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety/WHS requirements. You'll champion respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
* Lead and inspire a small kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals and service in line with HillView's values.
* Plan and design seasonal menus that balance nutrition, taste, presentation, and resident preferences.
* Oversee daily prep, delivery, and service with quality, safety, and efficiency.
* Manage budgets, stock, and supplier relationships responsibly.
* Collaborate with Lifestyle and Care teams to enhance the dining experience and support resident wellbeing.
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards (HACCP), Aged Care Quality Standards (2024), and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld).
* Maintain accurate documentation for audits and drive continuous improvement.
About You
* Certificate III (or higher) in Commercial Cookery.
* Proven leadership in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
* Strong understanding of dietary requirements and texture-modified meals.
* Excellent food safety, hygiene, organisation, and communication.
* Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (HACCP).
* Person-centred approach with a commitment to safety and compliance.

* Evidence of Australian work rights
