Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Training Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing site training plans, promoting health and safety awareness among site personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Create and maintain a comprehensive risk management plan, identifying potential hazards and implementing control measures.
* Coordinate WHS audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Mentor site personnel in safety best practices, providing guidance on hazard reporting and incident investigation.
* Develop and deliver engaging training sessions, working closely with the site leadership and HR teams.
* Monitor and report on WHS performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Induct new staff and contractors to the site, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
* Facilitate Return to Work programs, collaborating with injured employees and their supervisors to develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
* Participate in the review of capital projects, changes in procedures, and activities, ensuring they align with company WHS objectives.
