South Morang, Full Time, Hospitality Vacancy Listing Dates 18/08/2025 to 15/09/2025 Please Quote Reference Number 13194 Qualified and experienced Head Chef wanted Full time position available Join the team at Cucina Plenty Valley in South Morang Cucina Plentyvalley Pty Ltd T/a Cucina Plenty Valley, located at Shop R9, 415 McDonalds Rd, South Morang, VIC 3752, is currently seeking a skilled Head Chef to join their team. This is a full time role working 38 hours per week. Duties and Responsibilities: Managing professional kitchen operations - Planning, directing, and coordinating food preparation activities in a kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Developing and implementing operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain high performance and consistent service quality. Hire and train kitchen staff - Staff hire, daily training of all kitchen staff while creating and maintaining a great staff morale. Providing guidance to other chefs - Supervising the other chefs and kitchen staff and advice on preparation methods, presentation style and flavour profiles to elevate the quality of dishes. Overseeing the food preparation and creation process - Supervising all stages of food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. Ensuring the quality of dishes - Conducting regular inspections of ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and quality. Maintaining inventory - Must be able to stock control, monthly stock takes and communicate with current suppliers. Creating menus - Menu planning, Daily specials, recipes and new promotion ideas and dishes to attract customers. Directing kitchen operations - Managing kitchen workflows and Ensuring food preparation and presentation are of a consistent high standard. Checking and approving dishes before serving - Ensuring dishes are served promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and quality. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' working experience in kitchen and a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
