About the role
Reporting to the Executive Manager Commercial & Corporate Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial reporting while partnering with leaders across the organisation to strengthen financial capability and decision making.
You will drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting, system integrity, and continuous improvement across finance operations, while also providing financial oversight of maintenance and procurement activities, ensuring cost control, value for money, and alignment with organisational priorities.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the preparation of monthly management reports, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial reporting
* Analyse financial trends and performance across business units to inform decision making
* Lead the annual budgeting process with senior budget holders
* Implement and manage monthly forecasting processes
* Monitor client service agreements, costings, plans and claims to ensure financial sustainability
* Partner with the Financial Accountant on statutory reporting, reconciliations and month end processes
* Work with IT to develop Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting tools
* Build financial capability of non-finance managers through training and support
* Maintain finance system integrity, documentation, procedures and training materials
* Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Finance and Administration team
* Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations
* Provide financial oversight and governance of maintenance and procurement functions, including budgeting, cost control, and value-for-money decision making
* Support the development of procurement practices and asset-related decision making to improve efficiency and sustainability
About you
You are a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys translating numbers into meaningful insights for the business. You are confident working with senior stakeholders, comfortable operating in complex service environments, and passionate about building strong systems and capable teams.
You will bring:
* Experience in a senior finance or management reporting role
* CPA or CA Qualifications
* Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capability
* Experience across all functions of a finance team
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills
* Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
* Not-for-profit experience (desirable but not essential)
Special requirements
* Current Driver's Licence
* NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
* National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Occasional out of hours work as required
