About The Role
We are currently recruiting a self-driven System Control Technical Officer with the ability to work in challenging situations and thrive within a team environment. You will be responsible for the monitoring, actioning, resourcing and communication for all Single Premise and High Voltage Network Incidents, and for managing the Network Access Request Register (NAR), creating Switching Instructions, supporting the System Controller, and performing related administrative duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and respond to network incidents (Single Premise and High Voltage).
- Manage the Network Access Request Register (NAR) and create Switching Instructions.
- Support the System Controller in all related activities and administrative duties.
For suitably qualified and successful applicants, a comprehensive training environment is provided. Diploma options include potential study assistance for an Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Systems).
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Power Systems with a focus in System Operations or demonstrated capability through past employment and relevant qualifications.
- Driver’s Licence.
- Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business licences, authorisations and certificates deemed necessary for the role.
Desired
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
- Qualified Supervisors Certificate.
- Certificate III ESITDR – Distribution.
- Substation Entry Authorisation knowledge.
About You
You should be self-driven, capable of working in a challenging environment, and enjoy team collaboration. Strong computer skills, relevant electrical qualifications, and experience interpreting complex electrical networks or schematics with knowledge of network operating practices are essential. A trade certificate in Power Systems would be advantageous.
