Responsibilities:
* Acts as the AML/CTF Compliance Officer and regulatory compliance SME across Australia and New Zealand, providing second-line oversight of regulatory and licence compliance, including AFSL, ASIC, and APRA obligations.
* Leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of compliance and AML/CTF frameworks, ensuring independent oversight, escalation, and assurance across all business lines.
* Interprets and applies local regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date policies, compliance registers, and supporting regulatory filings and notifications.
* Oversees client due diligence and KYC processes, managing escalations and ensuring accurate client risk classification and onboarding governance.
* Coordinates all regulatory reporting and engagements with authorities, including audits, thematic reviews, and remediation activities.
* Delivers compliance training and promotes awareness of risk and regulatory standards across the business.
What you'll need to succeed:
* 5–8 years' experience in Compliance gained within Trustee, Asset Management, Fund Management, or Banking sectors
* Holds a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Law, Business, or a related discipline
* Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
* Demonstrated experience in AML/CTF, regulatory reporting, regulatory compliance and risk management oversight
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the business
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to maintaining high governance standards
