Water Treatment Infrastructure Project

An opportunity exists for a Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a major water treatment infrastructure project based in Gilgandra, NSW.
This project will play a critical role in supporting regional communities through the delivery of essential water infrastructure and offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience across civil, structural, mechanical and process works.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Project Engineers and Site Supervisors, you will be involved in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
This position is ideally suited to an engineer looking to build their career within the infrastructure sector while gaining exposure to a significant water project from construction through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Engineer and Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the day-to-day delivery of site activities.
* Coordinating subcontractors and site crews.
* Assisting with planning and scheduling of works.
* Monitoring construction progress against programme requirements.
* Conducting site inspections and quality checks.
* Preparing and maintaining project documentation.
* Managing RFIs and technical queries.
* Assisting with procurement and material tracking.
* Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications.
* Supporting project reporting and progress updates.
* Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
* Assisting with commissioning and project handover activities.
* Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture on site.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Project Engineer or Graduate Engineer within civil or infrastructure construction.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A practical, hands‐on approach to project delivery.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
* A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a project team.
