About The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Yarrow Place team as a Social Worker, where you will be responsible for:
* Provide comprehensive one to one and group work services such as counselling, crisis intervention and advocacy for individuals aged 16 and over who have experienced sexual assault;
* Undertake a range of research and projects;
* Provide education and training programs;
* Provide referral information for individuals seeking to access counselling, support groups, legal assistance or other help or information in relation to sexual assault;
* Liaise closely with members of other agencies, stakeholders and statutory authorities in provision of sexual assault service;
* Contribute to the development of service goals and strategies through designated portfolio work
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long term counselling and group work services.
* Demonstrated capacity to undertake risk assessments with people who have complex needs and partner with them to develop sound safety and therapy plans.
* Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations.
* Demonstrated experience in long and short term counselling, group work and community development.
