Role overview
We\'re seeking a hands-on and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities team in LDK\'s newest, premium village, Amberfield. Within a Permanent, Full Time position, you will be responsible for maintaining a high quality standard of appearance and condition expected at our village and its buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds. You will be confident in working with a proactive and routine plan, ensuring indoor and outdoor spaces are maintained to provide a pleasant and safe environment for our residents, staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities
* Undertake regular corrective and preventative maintenance and grounds work.
* Complete visual inspections of the building and equipment to identify items that require maintenance or repairs.
* Carry out minor repairs which may include replacing light bulbs, changing washers and seals, water blasting, paint and patch, assembling flat packs, etc.
* Assist Groundsperson in the general garden and grounds duties when needed.
* Respond to maintenance issues (including requests and complaints) in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in undertaking maintenance duties.
* Previous experience in a Retirement Living or Aged Care environment (Desirable)
* Experience in planning and managing job allocations in a timely manner.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Sound knowledge of computer systems.
* Understanding of and empathy towards our residents and providing support with Love, Decency and Kindness.
