About the role
To provide proactive, person-centred, safe, and effective services and support tailored to each resident's needs, goals, and preferences, emphasising compassion, connection, knowledge, and capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Health Promoting Services:
* Provide safe and effective services.
* Encourage social fitness, independence, and active participation ("do things with resident" rather than for them).
* Support resident choices about lifestyle and daily activities.
* Prevent infection spread (hand washing, infection control protocols).
* Create a positive environment (kind and respectful).
* Respect the resident's room as their home.
* Support daily living as per the care plan, including:
o Personal care (bathing, hygiene, grooming).
o Continence support.
o Resident mobility and dexterity support.
o Safe transfers (including mechanical aids).
o Maintenance of rooms, personal equipment, and work areas.
o Respectfully assisting with meals and drinks.
* Advise the EN/RN/Manager of any change in a resident's behaviour, function, condition, or any incidents.

About you
* Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate III in Aged Care.
* Experience: Previous experience in a personal carer role to work without direct supervision.
* Skills & Knowledge: Sound personal and clinical care skills, communication, time management, physical/emotional ability, manual handling skills, understanding of supporting residents with dementia, and basic knowledge of Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
* Desirable Requirements: Senior First aid certificate and an understanding of AN-ACC requirements.
