Contract Administrator Opportunity
We are seeking a Contract Administrator to oversee and manage the administration of contracts once they have been awarded.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the subcontracts lifecycle from initiation to closure, drafting, reviewing and negotiating subcontracts, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure subcontract terms are clear, feasible, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft, review and negotiate subcontracts ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure subcontract terms are clear, feasible and compliant
Contract Management:
* Identify potential risks and issues within subcontracts and propose effective mitigation strategies
* Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the impact of contractual terms on the organization
Risk Management:
* Work closely with vendors and suppliers to establish and maintain strong working relationships
* Monitor vendor performance and address any non-compliance or performance issues
Negotiation:
* Lead contract negotiations with clients, vendors and subcontractors to achieve favourable terms for the organization
* Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to finalize agreements
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation
* Generate reports on contract performance compliance and relevant metrics
Requirements:
* Proven experience in contract administration or a similar role
* Strong understanding of contract law and its application in a business setting
* In-depth knowledge of contract law procurement processes and project management
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to analyse complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions
