Early Childhood Coordinator Role Overview
This role will have a life-changing impact for young children and their families.
* Implement the NDIS Early Childhood Approach to support children with developmental delay or disability and their families/carers.
* Provide information and linkages to mainstream and community supports, early connections and early supports, and assist families to request access to the NDIS.
* Support families to gather information for the development of their NDIS plan and implement the plan if approved.
Key Responsibilities:
The Early Childhood Coordinator will:
* Work with a diverse transdisciplinary team of allied health and early childhood professionals.
* Travel across service delivery areas.
* Have a focus on ensuring children receive individualised supports according to their needs and circumstances.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualification in Allied Health such as Occupational therapy, Speech pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social work or Early Childhood Education/teaching.
* AHPRA Registration if applicable.
* A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT Registration.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check (can be obtained during application).
