Houseperson Job Description
The Houseperson role involves delivering exceptional service to guests by providing assistance with their requests, ensuring rooms and public areas are clean and tidy, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a high standard of service.
This position requires a warm and welcoming communication style where guests and team members alike feel right at home around you. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing their time well and taking pride in their tasks.
* Prioritise and promptly fulfil guest requests, including delivering amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, and collecting items from guest rooms as needed.
* Collaborate with all members of the housekeeping team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
* Gather used linens from guest rooms and transport to the designated appropriate area.
* Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public area spaces as requested.
Key requirements include a physical role that may involve using internal and external staircases, open pathways and pushing heavy trollies and equipment. A reliable transportation method and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays is also required.
