Responsibilities
* Define and deliver a strategic engineering roadmap across infrastructure, software development, data, and AI integration for the ANZ region.
* Lead IT infrastructure strategy, including cloud, networking, security and shared applications aligned with global enterprise goals.
* Build, recruit and inspire a high‑performing engineering team with a strong culture of accountability and innovation.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate technology impact into clear commercial value.
* Implement engineering organisational design to maximise business engagement and operational efficiency.
* Identify, evaluate and deploy emerging technologies, with a focus on advanced AI solutions that deliver business value.
* Manage vendor relationships, contracts and departmental budgets to ensure service excellence and compliance.
* Oversee disaster recovery planning, system architecture standards and data security policies.
* Lead day‑to‑day engineering operations, continuous improvement initiatives and succession planning for leadership roles.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably at a regional or global level with a minimum of 10 years of engineering leadership experience.
* Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, software development and AI technologies.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive strategic initiatives within a global structure.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships and compliance requirements.
* Track record of building high‑performing, accountable engineering teams.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
