Support Worker
Job Description:
* Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
* Provide transportation assistance to clients.
* Provide respite care to clients and their families.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
* Attend regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed.
* Provide training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS system.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a high school or equivalent.
* At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities.
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Experience with CRM software and NDIS portals.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
* Basic care and first aid skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
