Electrical Expertise Required for Fixed-Plant Maintenance
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Simplot Devonport. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing planned, scheduled and breakdown electrical activities on a wide range of fixed plant and equipment.
The role involves working closely with the wider Maintenance team, including Mechanical, Planning, Stores and Control Systems, as well as the Production team. Key responsibilities include identifying faults and performing repairs, inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, and working with PLC and electronically controlled system diagnostics, fault finding, programming and connections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Possess a strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
* Hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology (mandatory) and Certificate III in Instrumentation (advantageous).
* Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
* Experience in safety and quality systems and procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics.
* Sound judgment and decision making ability.
* High level of written and verbal communication skills and time management skills.

Working Conditions
Permanent, full-time shift position based at Simplot Devonport, commencing on a Monday to Friday day work schedule.
Upon completion of site familiarisation and competency assessment, the role will transition into a shift-based position inclusive of roster blocks based on a 12-hour roster.
Approximately 10% travel may be required.
