Financial Control Accountant – 6 month full-time contract opportunity.
About The Role
As a Financial Control Accountant, you'll support robust financial control processes that ensure accuracy and compliance across Suncorp. You'll collaborate with internal teams, deliver critical reporting, and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
What You'll Do
Ensure reconciliations using Oracle ARCS are accurate and timely, supporting compliance and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with finance and business teams to meet month-end deliverables and resolve issues promptly.
Contribute to statutory, regulatory, and management reporting, ensuring alignment with policies and standards.
Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation and simplification of processes.
Liaise with auditors and stakeholders to maintain strong governance and resolve audit actions effectively.
What You'll Bring
Experience in financial services accounting, including general ledger and regulatory reporting.
Proficiency with Oracle ARCS or similar reconciliation tools, and strong Excel skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, solve problems, and deliver accurate outcomes under pressure.
Strong communication skills to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
A degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; CA / CPA accreditation (or working towards) is desirable.
