BAA Finance is seeking an Accountant to be part of our growing Financial Accounting team. This is a Full Time; Permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager.
The Financial Accounting team at BAA manages our P&L and Balance Sheet including reconciliations, SAP GL, cash, offshore AP & AR teams, Monthly / Quarterly / Annual and Statutory Reporting. In addition, we liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally and collaborate with other Boeing teams to meet FBT, GST and Corporate Tax requirements.
Position Responsibilities
* Complete Month-end processes in SAP including intercompany balancing
* Maintain SAP GL (AUD & USD) in SAP
* Perform GL maintenance in SAP
* Maintain project budgets & settlements
* Review system interfaces for accuracy & timeliness
* Maintain Asset registers, run depreciation and complete monthly Asset reporting
* Prepare Monthly & Quarterly reports & Schedules
* Identify, complete and resolve GL reconciliations
* Maintain subledger, Cost Centre clearing and banking
* Review balance sheet provisions
* Support reporting requirements for Audit, FBT, Tax and month-end
* Review Financial compliance and adherence to GAAP and Boeing Company Policies
Basic Qualifications
* Hold relevant Accounting Degree and 2 – 5 years' experience (mandatory)
* Have commenced CA or CPA
* Be confident in applying GAAP and be ready to take the next step in your career in a hands‐on environment
* Familiar with using SAP
* Attention to detail along with investigation and problem‐solving skills
* Willingness to grow and manage tasks – to know what direction to go in and when to ask for help
* Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce

* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required
