A SAP Basis Administrator will be responsible for delivering technology solutions and project management that support business operations.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and maintaining SAP applications.
Incident management & task coordination.
Managing application documentation, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
Providing SAP Basis support and coordinating Basis requirements for projects with other infrastructure teams.
Leading change projects related to the SAP landscape.
Assisting in development requests & functional system analysis.
Managing environment variation within agreed tolerances.
Troubleshooting and resolving SAP application and database integrity and performance issues.
Performance tuning using appropriate monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Offering guidance and mentoring to BASIS team members.
Providing on-call based support for priority-based incidents.
About You
You should have 5+ years of experience as a SAP Basis professional, including hands-on installations and upgrades, incident management, scheduled task oversight, and backup process explanation.
Demonstrable experience is required in SAP Technologies such as NetWeaver, ECC6, BW, HANA, Business Objects, IDM, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, Gateway, FIORI, PI, S4HANA Systems.
Familiarity with AIX/Linux/Windows Operating environments.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and database concepts relevant to SAP environment.
DB2 & SQL expertise.
High availability systems and disaster recovery skills.
Technical specification writing and documentation skills.
Demonstrable experience in SAP Technologies such as Netweaver, ECC6, BW, HANA, Business Objects, IDM, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, Gateway, FIORI, PI, S4HANA Systems.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a 24x7 support (on-call-based rotation) environment.
Security (User/role maintenance) experience is desirable.
