Our client is a highly regarded ENT surgical specialist practice, conveniently located just a short walk from Central Station. They are seeking a
Practice Administrator
to become an integral part of their expanding team. This position is ideally suited to someone in the early stages of their medical administration career.

This is a permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday). There is no weekend work and no ongoing overtime, ensuring stability and balance in your working week.
Key Duties And Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
* Preparing clinics for two Surgeons, including records, results and document management
* Managing patient phone and email enquiries
* Filing, scanning and handling incoming/outgoing correspondence
* General administrative organisation and backlog reduction
* Assisting with medicolegal preparation tasks and bookings (under supervision)
* Meet, greet and receipting responsibilities for one Surgeon transitioning predominantly to medicolegal work by April 2026
While this position includes some secretarial tasks, it is primarily an administrative and practice-support role within the group.
The ideal candidate will be an early-career medical administrator or a reliable, steady individual who prefers not to take on senior-level responsibility. You will be highly trainable and enjoy working within a structured environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support senior staff are essential.
To Be Closely Considered, You Will Have
* Prior medical or hospital-based administrative experience
* Exposure to specialist practice tasks such as results chasing and clinic preparation
* Familiarity with Genie or similar medical software
* A basic understanding of medical terminology and Medicare, DVA, ADF and private health fund processes
What's In It For You
After 12 months, if the successful candidate demonstrates strong capability, there is potential for further training in more technical secretarial functions including surgical quoting and associated administrative tasks.
Remuneration
An attractive hourly rate of
$30–$34 per hour + superannuation
will be offered, commensurate with your experience and the value you bring to the team.
