What you'll do
* Assist in designing, building, and managing scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT processes.
* Support data integration efforts, connecting disparate data sources seamlessly using batch and real-time streaming processes.
* Develop data models and schemas to enhance data warehousing solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Utilise programming skills to automate data workflows, ensuring efficient processing and transformation.
* Maintain data quality and integrity through implementation of validation and error handling mechanisms in data pipelines.
What we're looking for
* Experience: 2+ years of experience delivering data pipelines in a business environment.
* Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen analytical mindset.
* Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Technical skills:
o Strong programming skills in Python.
o Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks or Snowflake).
o Experience with data engineering and pipelines (SQL, ETL/ELT, distributed systems), metadata driven data engineering, and orchestration services.
o Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
o Ability to work with metadata driven data engineering pipelines and tools such as jinja and DBT.
