We currently have an opening for an Application Engineer with at least 2 years' industry experience in 3D CAD/CAE/CAM/PDM tools using SolidWorks in our Pymble office.

You will gain exposure to leading engineering, manufacturing and industrial design firms and the chance to further develop your already strong SolidWorks and 3D CAD/CAE/CAM/PDM skills to become a real expert, including certification through the SolidWorks certification program.
This role offers variety, including visiting key clients and providing CAD/FEA/PDM technical expertise to them, working with sales to developing solutions to customer needs, providing product training, demonstration and implementation of solutions to clients and support for the software.
Responsibilities, but are not limited, to:
Coordination and ownership of Service Requests
Resolution of Support incidents, Problems and Changes
Design and implementation of software and hardware solutions
Delivery of formal Training and the preparation of Training material
Conducting Pre-sales Presentations and the generation of Pre-sales material
Participation in Marketing Events
Contribution to Content programs such as Knowledge Bases, Blogs, Webinars, Whitepapers and Case Studies etc.
Your experience and qualifications:
Tertiary qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering
Experience within industry using current generation SolidWorks 3D CAD tools
Experience in Document management (especially PDM), and/or CAM is highly desirable
FEA analysis experience and IT knowledge is desirable
Formal training qualifications and experience in presenting technical training in a formal setting would be highly regarded.
The successful candidate must possess:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – including presentation skills
Be able to work well with others
Analytical, with well-developed problem solving skills.
Confident in your own technical abilities
Preparedness to travel (some off-site work when necessary)
