Team Leader, Current Student Services

* Full-time, Ongoing position at HEW Level 7.
* Bankstown and Parramatta City campuses with flexible work arrangements.
* Salary: $104,953 – $113,204 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Take charge of a high-performing Student Services team and help shape the experience for thousands of students across Western Sydney University.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to join our Current Student Services team within the Office of Student Success. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, personalised support to students across multiple service channels, including face-to-face, phone, email, virtual, and self-service.

As Team Leader, you will manage daily operations of Student Hub teams across campuses, ensuring seamless service delivery and a positive student experience. You will lead and mentor staff, foster a values-driven culture, and oversee recruitment and training of casual staff. Collaboration is key—you will work closely with other business units to implement service strategies that leverage technology and enhance student success.

This position also plays a critical role in promoting respectful relationships and support options, ensuring protocols and referral pathways are consistently communicated and enacted. What Success Looks Like:

* Oversee daily operations of Student Hub teams across multiple campuses.
* Lead, supervise, and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Ensure consistent communication of respectful relationship support options and referral protocols.
* Partner with Success Coaches and Academic Success teams to enhance student engagement.
* Contribute to University projects, events, and service reviews.
* Monitor service performance and implement process improvements.

About You

* Demonstrated experience in customer service and/or leadership roles, ideally in a tertiary education context.
* Strong background in managing and coordinating administrative staff and functions.
* High-level analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
* Commitment to delivering a superior student experience and driving continuous improvement.
