Located within a 41-room motel, our dining venue caters to both overnight guests with room service and passing traffic, creating a vibrant and diverse atmosphere. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will oversee daily operations, develop innovative menus, and deliver high-quality meals that delight both hotel guests and local visitors. **Job Details:**
* Part-time position: 25-30 hours per week (with potential to increase as demand grows)
* 6-day workweek (Monday to Saturday: 5pm-8pm)
* Location: Bundaberg, Queensland
* Minimum 4 years of experience in managing kitchens
* Proven ability to:
- Menu plan and cost out menus
- Manage waste control and stock take
- Work independently and maintain a clean, food-safe kitchen
- Strong communication and organizational skills

We are now seeking a talented Chef to help shape the future of our culinary offerings. **Responsibilities:**
* Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation
* Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
* Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation
* Monitor and control waste and stock levels
* Assist with inventory management and ordering
* Clean and maintain the kitchen to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
**Requirements:**
* 4 years of experience in managing kitchens
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Knowledge of menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
