The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that Australia’s registered health practitioners are suitably trained, qualified, and safe to practise.About the roleThe AhpraCommunications and Media team provides strategic and material support to Ahpraand the National Boards for internal and external stakeholder engagement. This includes managing Ahpra’s internal and external channels, such as: websites, the intranet, publications, media, social media, and videos.In this role reporting to the National Manager, Communications and Media, you will help revise and simplify consultation documents to improve engagement and transparency, particularly as we implement key recommendations from the Kruk Review on overseas health practitioner regulation. Working closely with Policy and Accreditation teams, you'll play a vital part in shaping how important health regulation issues are communicated to diverse audiences.As a Plain Language Editor, you’ll transform technical content into clear, concise language that resonates with practitioners, stakeholders, and the public. Your work will support meaningful consultation and help ensure feedback shapes standards and guidelines that protect public safety and support high-quality care.
