Job Title:
Clinical Nurse Consultant - Renal Services
Job Description:
This is a clinical nurse consultant position for renal services. The role will involve working in partnership with consultant nephrologists, nurse unit managers, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality nursing service and patient management in a satellite renal unit.
The provision of clinical leadership, and authoritative expertise in clinical care and interventions, as well as knowledge and guidance for individual case management, across renal replacement therapies including haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplantation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical nurse consultancy on all aspects of clinical practice involving renal replacement therapies and acting as a role model and expert clinician in the clinical setting in accordance with best practice.
Provision of clinical leadership and coordination, in collaboration with the nurse unit manager for haemodialysis and home therapy nurses.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Providing clinical leadership and coordination in the delivery of high-quality renal services.
* Working collaboratively with the renal team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
* Providing education and training to staff on renal replacement therapies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
* Postgraduate qualification in renal nursing or a related field.
* Experience in clinical leadership and management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
