The Team
Peacock House opened in 2023, and focusses on providing warm, welcoming and trauma-informed care to people experiencing mental health relapse or distress. Secure Haven works closely with the peer lead services at Peacock Centre, including the Integration Hub, Peacock House and the Recovery College.
The Role
As part of a small specialist team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the National Standards for Mental Health Services, Agency policy and direction and legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide:
- Day to day clinical oversight of the service, including effective management of human and physical resources as required.
- Ongoing leadership, direction and change management to support service development and optimise potential outcomes from the endorsed Operational Service Model.
- Specialist assessments and brief interventions to individual service users.
- Information and referral to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders as required to achieve quality outcomes for service users.
You will need
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities and clinical care provided by a small specialist community-based team.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge in relation to the principles of recovery and client centred care and a proven ability to provide a range of assessments and specialist treatments and brief interventions.
- Ability to undertake ongoing risk assessments and effectively manage the outcomes from these assessments, including escalating care when required.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

- Holds or is working towards a relevant post graduate qualification
