Scope
As our new Quality Assurance officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the quality assurance systems, policies, and procedures that maintain Baileys as a Quality Endorsed Company. In this role, you ensure our products, processes, and documentation consistently meet ISO9001 requirements, company SOPs, and relevant Australian Standards such as AS3743 and AS4454. You will support continuous improvement across the business by keeping quality systems audit‐ready, up to date, and aligned with our accreditation and compliance obligations.
Role and Responsibilities
* Maintain and review company SOPs and ISO/AS‐NZS9001 quality control procedures.
* Maintain and monitor product quality and manufacturing standards including AS3743 and AS4454.
* Conduct internal audits to ensure SOPs and quality requirements are met.
* Coordinate improvement to Standard Operating Procedures in collaboration with Department Managers.
* Communicate SOP and quality procedure updates to staff and provide training where required.
* Oversee and maintain all Baileys accreditations, including EcoHort, NIASA, and Waterwise Approved.
* Maintain and develop Quality product documentation within our cloud ERP system - SAP Business ByDesign including Bill of Materials, Bill of Operations and Product Production Models
* Maintain Finished Product Specifications and Safety Data Sheets;
* Manage the company's Department of Environmental Regulation (DER) license and reporting;
To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:
* Be comfortable and confident working across departments and teams;
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role;
* A BSc or similar in a relevant discipline is desired.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage;
* Have recognised ISO 9001 Auditor training;
* Have a strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
* Demonstrate a high level of commercial understanding;
* Be highly focused, resourceful and results-driven;
* Possess excellent time management skills and attention to detail;
* Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and coordinate with our production, admin, sales and technical staff;
* Be tech savvy with MS Office skills and experience with an ERP system such as SAP;
