**About the Organisation**
Working with the Senior International Development Officer, you will support this Agency's international capacity building work across the Indo Pacific region.
Activities involve:
- Supporting bilateral and multilateral engagements with partner regional governments, multistake holder organisations, civil society organisations and community stakeholders
- Contributing to Agency's participation in workshops and events to promote online safety initiatives in the region
- Contributing to the international dialogue in online safety, and especially in child online protection
- Understanding and adding to research on the nature, scale and scope of online harms and risks faced by children, women, marginalised and at-risk groups.

**As a Project Officer (APS 6 equivalent), the occupant of this position is expected to**:
- support the International Team by providing high quality advice and project management support
- anticipate and respond to changing priorities and needs, as well as navigate a rapidly evolving online safety landscape
- provide accurate and specialised advice on online safety issues, and especially in child online protection
- undertake external environment analysis and scanning, nationally and internationally, to provide advice on online safety issues
- assist in the development of draft reports, briefing papers, presentations, correspondence, and discussion papers for review by management and executive level employees.
**Qualifications - Experience**
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in international relations, social sciences or related fields
- High level of cultural competency, including demonstrated skills communicating and engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communications skills, including capacity to write documents, reports and briefings within tight timeframes
- Experience working internationally, especially in the Southeast Asian or Indo Pacific region
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products
- Experience in a child online protection role
- Sound knowledge of gender mainstreaming and engaging with diverse and at-risk groups.
- Knowledge of and/or experience working with the tech/social media industry
- Valid Police Check
