Business Development Manager (Legal Technology Solutions)
TransPerfect Legal Solutions (TLS) is seeking a Business Development Manager to focus on identifying, pursuing and closing sales prospects for all of TLS's legal services and technologies.
This role will be based in Perth, Australia and will be fully remote. Once the Perth office is established, the position will transition to hybrid/in-office.
TLS provides a suite of solutions that facilitate every aspect of our client's legal matters – projects involving forensics, early case assessment, predictive coding, hosting, e-data processing, and other traditional litigation support solutions.
We are the only legal support services provider that also offers a full array of multilingual solutions – alongside new offerings in Information Governance, Cyber and Artificial Intelligence.
The Role
1. Develop prospective clients through several strategies including internet research, trade show lists, referrals, various professional directories, and personal investigation.
2. Source and close new clients through cold calling, referrals, networking, and other means (tradeshows, regional organizations, etc.).
3. Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients by delivering elite client service and engaging them by using knowledge of each industry and organization.
4. Formulate a sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
5. Generate daily outreach efforts to prospective clients.
6. Build a productive pipeline and manage each phase of the sales process.
7. Develop project budgets and create proposals.
8. Instil confidence among clients with your personal credibility and experience and the company's footprint in the e-discovery space.
9. Establish customer relationships that enable TLS to be viewed as a trusted advisor.
10. Understand and articulate TransPerfect's full line of business offerings, capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages, and identify and refer opportunities within each of these areas to specialist sales and client service teams to close.
11. Set and manage client expectations while consulting with each client for best practices.
12. Manage and control pricing and contractual issues.
13. Travel (including multiple annual conferences, client meetings) - domestic and/or international.
Requirements
1. 3-6 years experience in business development and sales in eDiscovery/litigation support.
2. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
3. Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
4. Proven sales life cycle experience - lead generation through business closing.
5. Proven track record in achieving sales target.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills.
8. Effective time management.
